Montblanc Great Characters Homage to The Great Gatsby Special Edition Ballpoint Pen

The Montblanc Great Characters Homage to The Great Gatsby Special Edition Ballpoint Pen celebrates F. Scott Fitzgerald’s celebrated 1925 novel and its unforgettable portrayal of the Jazz Age, the American Dream and New York high society.

Inspired by the illuminated Art Deco skyscrapers of 1920s Manhattan, the black and blue precious-resin barrel is created using a special technique that recalls high-rise façades glowing against the evening sky. The design also pays tribute to an early Montblanc writing instrument from the Art Deco era.

A gold-coated geometric monogram featuring Jay Gatsby’s initials enhances the design’s period character. Fine rings in the colours of the American flag surround the cap ring, referencing the novel’s exploration of the American Dream.

The blue precious-resin cap is crowned by a Montblanc emblem made from fluorescent material, creating a distinctive detail in low light. Completed with a platinum-coated clip, practical twist mechanism and refillable ballpoint system, this Special Edition combines literary symbolism with smooth everyday writing performance.
